FAQ
Questions, answered.
Do you take pool tables apart to move them?+
Almost always, yes. Slate-bed and full-size tables need to be stripped down: cloth lifted, slates removed, frame broken into transportable sections. Moving a slate-bed table assembled is how cushions split and slates crack.
Can you move a slate-bed pool table up or down stairs?+
Yes — it's a normal part of the job. We bring extra crew, stair runners and lifting kit where needed and survey access before booking, so there are no surprises on the day.
Will you recloth the table while you move it?+
We can. While the bed is exposed, fitting fresh cloth is straightforward and our crews are fitters too. We'll quote the recloth separately so you can decide.
Do you supply replacement cushions or rails?+
Yes, when something needs replacing we can source matching cushions, rubbers, pockets and rails as part of the rebuild.
How long does a typical move take?+
Most local moves are done in a single visit of a few hours. Larger snooker tables, awkward access or a recloth can extend that — we'll set expectations in your quote.
Are you insured?+
Yes — we carry goods-in-transit and public liability cover for every job. You're welcome to see the documents before booking.
Can you store my table between moves?+
We can arrange short or longer-term storage. Slates flat, frame and cushions wrapped and racked. Let us know your dates.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?+
Just clear the route between the table and the front door, and arrange parking for our van if it's a permit area. We'll handle the rest.
